General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans have been seeing plenty of changes on the show lately due to the writing team transition. Some characters are shifting direction while others seem like they’re on the road to being cut entirely.
Are Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) the latest characters on the chopping block? There’s no denying that getting rid of Cody and Sasha would provide an easy way to trim the cast.
Sasha and Cody would lift right out without affecting the canvas too much, so it’s possible they’re on the verge of a joint exit.
The fact that Sasha and Cody have quit their Deception jobs at the same time is suspicious.
Now Cody and Sasha are both ready to head down new paths, which means they could end up on one together.
In the March 22 episode, Cody talked about how his old life used to consist of bouncing around from gig to gig.
During that conversation, Cody admitted he liked living in Port Charles and was glad he stayed, especially since he’d made so many good friends there like Sasha.
However, it almost seemed like the show’s way of reflecting on Cody’s time in PC for his character’s potential wrap-up.
Cody eventually said he’d saved up enough money from his former modeling position to explore some new dreams. Sasha wondered if Cody meant Serenity since that’s the name of the estate he lived on when he was a child.
Cody didn’t have a good experience there, but he previously mentioned hoping to buy Serenity as an investment property so he could bring it full circle.
It’s possible Cody will indeed end up buying Serenity, so he could easily ask Sasha to come help him renovate the house and make some updates to the ranch.
On the other hand, Cody might have his eye on a different property somewhere further away for a new adventure.
Since owning his own ranch has been a goal for Cody since he first came to Port Charles, it’d be nice to see him achieve it one way or another.
Cody is great with kids – and Sasha would clearly like to do something less shallow than posing for magazine photos. Perhaps Sasha and Cody could get trained as part of some sort of horse therapy program for children to go along with this ranch dream.
Bottom line, Cody and Sasha are getting the kind of writing that makes it seem like they’re going to ride off into the sunset together!
