General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the character of Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) is in limbo thanks to his latest exit from the show, but plenty of fans are still rooting for him to make a big comeback.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) needs at least one of her children on canvas – not to mention Nikolas is a complex Cassadine that many viewers want to see, especially now that he has a chance to turn his life around.
Of course, the topic of who should play Nikolas has become quite a debate on social media. When Marcus Coloma exited in early 2023, Adam Huss filled in for him during Nikolas’ final scenes.
It wasn’t the first time Huss had served as a Nikolas recast – and it wouldn’t be the last since he’s gone on to film multiple return stints since then. The problem is those return stints are always so short!
It’s left many fans wondering whether Huss is going to stay in the role permanently or not.
There are some viewers who feel like the show should keep looking for another actor, but others feel like Huss is already an excellent recast.
No matter which side you fall on, Huss has done his research – particularly when it comes to the late Tyler Christopher’s portrayal.
It’s clear that Huss is respectful of Nikolas Cassadine’s history and that he’s making an effort to honor it every time he appears, so he deserves praise for that!
Huss has proven he’s a talented actor who’s capable of showing up and delivering some powerful scenes, so will GH ever give him a contract?
Time will tell, but Huss recently spoke out on social media to thank everyone for the support and explain that things were still up in the air regarding his future as Nikolas.
“Hey kind people ! Thank you for all the shout outs asking when or if I may return to #GH . I of course would love to be there. We shall see. Much love and thanks for following me and my other projects!” Huss posted on X, the social media app formerly known as Twitter.
