General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that we’ve got a preview video for a special primetime event that’s happening next month. ABC will start the new year off right by delivering a celebratory show that’s all about honoring GH’s 60th anniversary milestone.
A new promo was recently released on X, the social media app formerly known as Twitter, which shows off some epic moments of days gone by. Here’s what General Hospital’s account said in the post that accompanied the video.
“Join us (and a star-studded roster of special guests) for a primetime celebration of our milestone 60th Anniversary! ‘General Hospital: 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling’ airs Thursday, January 4th at 10pm EST on @ABCNetwork. Don’t miss it! #GH #GH60”
GH may be a daytime drama, but it’s nice that they’re taking things over to primetime and giving even more people a chance to see this special.
Six decades is a long time for a show to keep delivering action year after year, but they always manage to do it in Port Charles!
The preview video features some memorable past moments – like the time Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) popped out of a cake, one of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) fierce threats, a cabin explosion and so much more.
Of course, the promo also hints about the familiar faces that did interviews for this upcoming special.
Amber Tamblyn (ex- Emily Quartermaine) and Stephen A. Smith (Brick) were both featured in the short clip, but we also know Rick Springfield (ex-Noah Drake) and Emma Samms (ex-Holly Sutton) will make appearances to discuss their former roles.
Dancing with the Stars’ Val Chermkovskiy will also be seen in this exciting primetime show, which is set to air Thursday, January 4 at 10:00 p.m. EST.
Naturally, there’ll be plenty of current cast members included as well. There’ll even be a blooper reel, so that alone should be worth tuning in for!
