Believing that they have what it takes to be a love team to watch out for, young actress Alexa Ilacad also feels that she and onscreen partner KD Estrada are already ripe for stardom, more so now that they are being officially launched as KDLex.

The two became popular as housemates in the “Pinoy Big Brother” Kumunity Season 10.

“This is what we want. We are aiming for excellence, nothing less. Of course, we are ready for greater things, with what’s to come. Stardom? Yes. I think that we do have what it takes. We continue to hone our skills, hone our craft, so why not?” Alexa said during the live face-to-face press conference and celebrity screening of iWantTFC’s original series “Run To Me.”

“I feel like that even [if] we’re very new, we can bring to the table what others can as well,” she added.

When INQUIRER.net asked her if her love team with Estrada could reach a real-life romantic level, Ilacad answered in the affirmative.

“Honestly, the intent is there. So, why not pursue? I am not rushing anything. He’s not rushing anything. Yes, the intent to hopefully go there, to reach that stage,” she said. “Obvious naman, very boyfriend material si KD.” (KD is obviously boyfriend material.)

Ilacad admits she was nervous at how the series will be appreciated by their fans.

“Honestly, merong kaba (there’s nervousness) especially before we watched this because first time namin makita lahat (it’s our first time to see it all). Of course, may kaba (there’s nervousness) because we really care about this project,” she revealed. “I, personally, I don’t want to disappoint anyone. I want to make everyone proud. I want to make sure na ‘yung sinasabi kong matagal kong hinintay (that what I said I have waited for so long) is worth the wait.”

After watching the series, Ilacad’s anxiety finally decreased. She thought that there is nothing she will be embarrassed about.

“I mean, everything, cinematography, script, ‘yung mga artistang kasama namin (the actors that we worked with), everyone really worked so, so hard for this,” she noted. “Maipagmamalaki ko po siya.” (I can be proud of it.)

Directed by Dwein R. Baltazar, “Run to Me” is produced by ABS-CBN Entertainment, Dreamscape Entertainment, iWantTFC, and Kumu. It also stars Malou Crisologo, CJ Navato, Karl Gabriel, Ivan Carapiet, Margaux Montana, Henz Villaraiz, Matty Juniosa and Haira Palaguitto.

The series will be available on Kumu starting May 20 and on iWantTFC on May 21, at 8 p.m. (Manila time), with a new episode dropping every Saturday. JB
