The TikTok influencer who is known on the social media site as ‘@kayla.zck’ told her 19,600 followers just what the issue was.

In a short clip where the Aussie flight attendant stood in front of the camera, she said: “There’s a hidden danger on flights that I think most people don’t know about – and it’s UV.

“The UV up there is so incredibly high, so I am religious with putting on sunscreen before a flight and during.”

Kayla then holds up the product that she uses but adds: “Obviously, this is too big to take on board but I put it in small containers.”

She said that it’s an Australian product so the UV protection is “actually really amazing compared to some countries”.

Kayla claimed: “If you buy sunscreen over there, it just does not work the same. Especially on your hands and face.”

The flight attendant added: “This is your reminder – sunscreen.”

Kayla’s post has become something of a hit with users of the social media site, having been seen some 35,200 times in less than a week and clocking up more than 1,800 likes along with dozens of comments.

One person said: “Omg, this never even occurred to me! Will be slip slop slapping from now on.”

Another wrote: “Thanks for letting us know, I will be putting sunscreen on, on my flight to Japan.”

While a third added: “Never ever occurred to me.”

A fourth person though joked: “I might just hop on the top of the plane to tan.”

Meanwhile, another flight attendant has revealed what the “coke or stroke” secret phrase means.

While another flight attendant has shown the £3 item she always packs when flying.

Earlier this year, a Virgin Atlantic cabin crew member revealed that she would never board a plane without a small tub of Vaseline.

Jetstar cabin crew member, Shelby, explained that for long-haul flights, the most important items are a hydrating moisturiser and hydrating mist to counteract the dry conditions in the cabin.

Meanwhile, this cabin crew member has revealed the stupidest questions they’ve been asked by passengers.

These three items help another flight attendant avoid disaster while travelling.
