Bear Shadow music festival will return to the Blue Ridge Mountains again for its fourth annual iteration. Under the tagline of “Music, Mountains & Revelry,” the festival will occur on May 11 and 12 in Highlands, N.C. Alongside headliners JJ Grey & Mofro and Black Pumas, the genre-spanning weekend will see live performances from North Mississippi Allstars, Futurebirds, American Aquarium, The Record Company, White Denim and Grace Bowers.

On Saturday, May 11, southern blues-rock powerhouse North Mississippi Allstars, North Carolina’s own country act American Aquarium and Athens, Ga. rock outfit Futurebirds will each play a set before a headlining show from funk-inflected Southern rockers JJ Grey & Mofro. On Sunday, May 12, Nashville guitarist Grace Bowers, Austin, Texas progressive jammers White Denim and Los Angeles rock trio The Record Company will perform in the lead-up to critically acclaimed psychedelic soul duo Black Pumas’ headlining set.

The festival grounds will be at Winfield Farm in Scaly Mountain, seven miles from the town of Highlands. Continuous shuttle services will be provided by festival organizers to and from the festival grounds. General Admission tickets also include complimentary drinks and access to food and retail vendors, and children 12 and under may attend for free.

Tickets are on sale now. Partnering with Sky Valley-Scaly Mountain Volunteer Fire & Rescue, Bear Shadow will donate a portion of every ticket purchase to local environmental and conservation nonprofits. For more ticketing information, visit bearshadownc.com.
