Thai alt-metal outfit Defying Decay have shared a new single, ‘21 Stitches’, which arrives as the latest teaser for their forthcoming album due out later this year.

Mixed by Zakk Cervini, whose other credits include Bring Me The Horizon, Blink-182 and Yungblud, the track also arrives with a new video.

The video’s reference to Fight Club reflects many of the themes that inspired the song, which Defying Decay’s vocalist and guitarist Jay Euarchukiati has explained:

“This song was inspired by the over-saturation of the on-going woke culture whilst many other aspects of social injustices such as racial based hate crimes, war, authoritarian regime, and more, remains unaddressed.

“The music video is a tribute to fight club that symbolises that any conflicts between different ideologies among our society as an entirety are essentially a zero-sum process of self-depletion.”

You can watch the video for ‘21 Stitches’ below.

‘21 Stitches’ is also available in Dolby Atmos, for those who want to be immersed even more in the track.

Formed in Bangkok in 2010, the seven-member Defying Decay have developed a strong amount of support beyond their native Thailand and have toured with the likes of Motionless In White, Betraying the Martyrs and Crown The Empire.

In March, the band were on the bill with the likes of Slipknot and Trivium at Indonesia’s heavy rock carnival Hammersonic Festival.
