Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Tamara Braun is officially OUT as Ava Vitali. Braun herself confirmed the exit news on Instagram – just in case you didn’t realize Ava’s departure was the real deal in the December 20 episode.
That was Braun’s last airdate as Ava, but the storyline leaves the door open for her return someday. Ava wasn’t killed off or even locked up in prison this time around.
Instead, Days decided to send Ava off the deep end and have her receive legitimate mental help at Bayview.
Even Sarah Cook (Linsey Godfrey) admitted she felt bad for Ava, who was suffering from horrible hallucinations.
Ava has been on the brink of insanity for a while now since she’s been listening to Charlie Dale’s (Mike Manning) wicked instructions.
Charlie only exists in Ava’s head, but he obviously feels like he’s back from the dead when he’s pushing her down a sinister path.
Since Ava’s dealing with psychotic episodes, she needs professional assistance to recover. Of course, this exit strategy could make it easy for Ava to get off the hook for her crimes.
If Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) can be rehabilitated at Bayview, then Ava certainly can, too.
Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) won’t rest until Ava’s better, so there’s a chance she’ll make a comeback down the road.
However, Tamara Braun has departed Days for now, so Braun offered updates and a special message of gratitude to all her fans.
Braun also shared some fun behind-the-scenes pics on Instagram and kept things light.
“Thanks for all the love and support you continue to show me. I will miss you all!! Wait, I’ll still be here, you can find me on IG!! Much love,” Braun said in her exit post.
Since Ava was written into such a problematic corner, it’s not surprising that Days cut her loose.
Tamara Braun is a fantastic actress, but sometimes you just have to shake things up and make way for new stories.
