Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers indicate that Kyle Lowder (Rex Brady) recently made some huge announcements on Instagram. For starters, Lowder revealed that he was leaving Los Angeles behind so he could move to the mountains “and a really big lake.”
After sharing a pic from when he arrived in LA back in 2000, Lowder shared another one of him hitting the road in the present day. Although Lowder is grateful for the wild ride he’s been on over the past 23 years, he’s making some significant changes in his life.
“Grateful for it all,” Lowder said in his caption. “But as I always say, it’s not ‘goodbye’, just ‘until next next time.’”
A couple days later, Lowder shared another post to clarify why he’s making this exciting move. It turns out Lowder has accepted a new job – one that’s quite different from the role he’s been playing as Rex Brady on Days.
Lowder put up a pic of himself signing a contract and offered updates on some impressive news, so let’s look at what he announced to his fans.
After confirming that everything was official now, Lowder talked about beginning a new chapter and adventure in his life – both personally and professionally.
“Starting in July I will be joining news leader and CBS affiliate @ktvn_reno as their new morning co-anchor,” Lowder said. “Truly grateful and thrilled to be a part of the beautiful Reno-Tahoe community.”
Lowder promised that more details were coming and urged everyone to stay tuned, so we’ll look forward to hearing more about his new position.
Of course, this no doubt leaves many DOOL fans wondering about Rex’s future at Days. It’s possible the show could still work out some appearances, but it’s clear that Lowder’s focus will now be on his new role behind the news desk.
Regardless, Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) storyline should be moving in another direction soon.
Although Rex will perhaps always love and want Sarah back, her reunion with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) is inevitable – especially since she’s carrying his baby!
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Rex will have to find a way past the heartache in Chicago once Sarah returns to Salem.
