Britney Spears Says She Has ‘No Purpose’ Without Her Sons

Singer Britney Spears is opening up on her relationship with her two sons in a series of audio clips that she shared with her millions of Instagram followers on Saturday night.

The “Oops!…I Did It Again” singer was married to former backup dancer Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007. They share two teenage sons: Jayden James and Sean Preston.

Things have been rocky between Britney and her boys ever since K-Fed revealed to the world that the boys haven’t seen their mother in months. To make matters worse, Jayden appeared beside his father for another tell-all interview with 60 Minutes Australia, claiming that Britney’s family are not “bad people” for putting her through her controversial 13-year conservatorship.

Britney is clearly upset that her sons have seemingly cut off contact with her, claiming that it feels like a part of her has “died” without them.

In the audio files, transcribed by Page Six, Britney is clearly emotional as she talks about missing her two boys.

“Literally, I have no purpose anymore. They were my joy. They were my everything,” she said. “I look forward to seeing them. That was what I live for. And then all of a sudden, they were gone.”

Even though she was in a conservatorship, she stated that “at one point,” she “used to have” her boys “way more” than K-Fed.

Britney added, “I mean, people don’t remember that part because they always focused on the negative, but from when they were 6 to 9 years old, I had them 70 percent of the time.”

She also expressed disappointment in how “easy” it was for her sons to cut off contact with her, saying, “I don’t understand how it’s so easy for them, just to cut me off like that. I don’t understand it.”

This is far from the first time Britney has opened up about her souring relationship with her sons. Earlier this month, she took to Instagram on Labor Day to share another audio clip lamenting how her sons were treating her.

In a deleted Instagram audio clip, Britney expressed disappointment and frustration with her increasingly public family drama.

In the clip, she addressed her son Jayden directly to confront him about the comments he made in his recent interview.

“Jayden, as you undermine my behavior just like my whole family always has with, ‘Hope she gets better, I will pray for her’ … Pray for what?” Britney asked, telling her sons that she needs “unconditional love and support” from them.

In the audio recording, Britney said that she does not feel “valued” as a person, appearing to speak to both her family and her sons.

“It saddens me not one of you have valued me as a person,” Britney said. “You’ve witnessed how my family has been to me and that’s all you know. Like I said, I feel you all secretly like to say something’s wrong with me.”

She also recalled a specific moment that seems to be the last time that Britney saw her two sons. “I will say it. I sat in that kitchen and looked you straight in the eyes, beautiful boy, and said, ‘How come I can’t see you guys anymore? Or just see you guys more? I look forward to seeing you guys weekly,’” she recalled. “You said, ‘Mama, oh, it’ll change.’”

“You and your brother left me in that house always two hours early. Preston would sleep. You would play the piano the whole time,” she alleged. “And if I didn’t shower you guys with gifts and have amazing food ready and play a motherf—king saint, it was still never good enough.”

She finished the audio clip by claiming that she does not believe in God anymore and is now an atheist due to the way that her family has treated her for over a decade.

“God would not allow that to happen to me if a God existed,” she said. “I don’t believe in God anymore because of the way my children and my family have treated me. There is nothing to believe in anymore. I’m an atheist, y’all.”
