The Crow is beautiful, dark, poetic and sometimes disturbing,” Rupert said. “It is a story of love, loss, grief and revenge. It is a great honor to revisit James O’Barr’s iconic comic and reimagine The Crow as a foreboding voice of today.”

The screenplay for the reboot was written by Zach Baylin, who was nominated for an Oscar for writing the script for King Richard.

The Crow will begin filming in June 2022 on a $50 million budget.
