Big Sky Star Anja Savcic Shares Bathing Suit Photo "Into the Wild"

Anja Savcic is setting social media on fire in her swimsuit. In a recent social media post the Big Sky star shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit in an artsy snap. “Into the wild,” she captioned the Instagram images, driving her followers wild. “So damn ethereal,” one of them commented. “I adore these and i adore you,” another added. How does the actress approach health and wellness? Celebwell rounded up her top lifestyle habits.

Anja loves going on nature walks. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Anja also enjoys swimming. Swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.

Anja is a hiker. On the top of a mountain she can appreciate nature. “Overlooking a good view and thinking about my existence NBD,” she captioned this photo. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems

You can find Anja “forest bathing” in her free time. What is forest bathing, anyway? According to National Geographic, the term originated in Japan in the 1980s as a physiological and psychological exercise called shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing” or “taking in the forest atmosphere”). “The purpose was twofold: to offer an eco-antidote to tech-boom burnout and to inspire residents to reconnect with and protect the country’s forests,” they say.

Ana enjoys biking. “Brief stint in LA last week to soak up some sun,” she captioned a photo from one of her rides. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Anja plays tennis. “Rhythm on a fall day,” she captioned a video of herself hitting balls on the court. According to ACE Fitness it blends together cardio and aerobic exercise, as there is a lot of running around, and hand-eye coordination. “While tennis provides numerous health benefits—improved aerobic fitness and anaerobic endurance, muscular fitness (grip strength and endurance), flexibility, multiple skill parameters (balance, speed, agility and quickness), reactivity, and power—it also is psychologically demanding,” they say.
