“I’m very happy that the world is opening up a little bit. I’m grateful to see my family more now; it always makes me happy and fills my heart with unconditional love. I’m also very excited to see my friends again and spend some quality time with everyone when we can travel safely,” she said of life a few years into the pandemic, to The Thirty. “Of course, it’s been great to spend time ‘off the grid’ in a way, too. Over the past year and through the process of building a house in a remote part of the country, I’ve realized that being outdoors is great for my mental health. Now, I try to go outside more, go on a hike, work out, do my self-care routines as regularly as possible.”
“I like products that include charcoal for its ability to draw out toxins and remove impurities. I look for it in face masks and toothpaste, where it’s used for its brightening effect. Also, in case you didn’t know, Dahlia Tequila is filtered through activated charcoal,” she told The Thirty.
“Being a Victoria’s Secret model is not just work, it becomes your lifestyle,” the Hungarian model told Us. “So even before I became an Angel, I started to get a routine into my life, working out every day or four times a week and eating in a certain way that works for my body. I’m just doing that.”
“I did work out with Alexina [Graham] for awhile because we are really good friends,” she told Us. “It was actually funny that we both got the Angel contract now. We’ve been knowing each other for awhile so I would work out with her.” She added she’d say: “Like, ‘Hey dude, don’t be lazy!'” says Palvin. “Actually, we both wanted [to be Victoria’s Secret models] for so long and when she started to work with VS three years ago, I was like just wait for me, I’m coming, I’ll be there soon. So it’s kinda like, now we’re here, now we have to show the world.”
“This is me,” Barbara captioned one photo. “It took me a while to understand what people meant by ‘listen to your body’ — it’s not always easy feeling good in our own skin and it takes time, trust me,” she told Sports Illustrated. “I’m still learning,” she continued. “Over the past year I’ve discovered so much about my body, how it can change and evolve. One thing is for sure — only you know what’s best for you.”
