Academy Award winning actress Anne Hathaway continues to prove that she’s a surprisingly “real one,” as she’s got a genuine passion for the various sports teams she roots for: most notably the New York Knicks and Arsenal Football Club.

On Tuesday, April 29, both the New York Knicks and Arsenal had their biggest games of the season, as the Knicks had the opportunity to close out the Detroit Pistons in the first round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs, while Arsenal hosted Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Unfortunately for Anne Hathaway, both of her beloved teams lost — the Arsenal one probably particularly stung, as they were just pipped to the Premier League title by Liverpool over the weekend. The Knicks lost by three to the Pistons in a 106-103 game, sending the series back to Detroit for Game 6, while Arsenal lost to PSG by a score of 1-0 after a 4th minute goal from French winger Ousmane Dembele.

That’s the thing about being a true fan, though: even when you lose, you ride with your team. And there’s certainly no denying Hathaway is a genuine fan, as evidenced by the TRIFECTA of sports gear she rocked on Tuesday (in addition to an Arsenal kit and Knicks jacket, she tossed on a New York Yankees hat for good measure — the Yanks were also in action on Tuesday, smashing the Orioles 15-3).

Earlier this year, the former Les Miserables and The Dark Knight Rises star went viral after she was spotted having a blast at Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

Hathaway’s PR 180 over the last half-decade or so has been generally remarkable, as she’s gone from being an actress largely ribbed for being a try-hard nerdy theater kid to becoming a generally adored icon of millennial pop culture. Such are the perks of being an Oscar-winning actress, remaining beautiful for 25 years and rooting for Arsenal like an ultra.
