American Pickers producers ‘editing out’ Robbie Wolfe in favor of fan-favorite host, frustrated viewers claim

Fans of Robbie Wolfe are fearful he is being pushed out of the show

FANS of American Pickers have accused producers of picking out co-host Robbie Wolfe in favor of a new host with rising popularity.

Jersey Jon has recently been bumped up to series regular, and with that comes more screen time.

Jon Szalay, 60, also known as Jersey Jon, officially joined Mike Wolfe, 59, and his brother Robbie, 62, as full-time pickers at the start of the current season.

Jon stepped in after Frank Fritz, 60, became unable to return after suffering a debilitating stroke.

However, as Jon’s popularity has increased, fans of Robbie are worried he is being pushed out.

Mike’s brother recently shared some photos on Instagram from an upcoming episode.

While Mike was missing, Robbie and Jon each appeared in the pics.

“Join us again tonight for an all new American Pickers,” Robbie teased in the caption. “See you there gonna be one of those shows you’re not gonna wanna miss!”

But a fan in the comments section was missing Robbie.

“I hope you are in it for more time,” the user lamented. “Seems Jersey is getting all the picks.”

JON’S JOURNEY

Jon Szalay, also known as Jersey Jon, is an antique expert that specializes in motorcycles and motorbikes from the early 1900s.

As his name suggests, Jon grew up in New Jersey.

As a teenager, he made extra money by restoring old furniture for people in his neighborhood.

By the age of 17, Jon purchased an old bank, which he converted into a workshop with an apartment on the second floor.

In the 1980s, he began to focus more on acquiring and restoring the engines of antique motorcycles – more specifically those of the late 19th century and early 20th century – according to Looper.

The outlet reports that one of the motorcycles that Jon went on to restore was even shown at a Guggenheim exhibition.

FRANK’S HEALTH

Before Jon, American Pickers had Frank Fritz, 60, but he is unable to return to the show after suffering a debilitating stroke.

He suffered the stroke in July 2022 and continues to recover today while under conservatorship and guardianship.

The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed Frank is unable to return to the show over one year after suffering the stroke

A source close to Frank told The U.S. Sun: “The stroke affected his speech, so he really can’t return to the show.

“But you never know, there is always hope one day.”

A second insider told The U.S. Sun: “He can’t come back and film, but the cast and show want him to.”

Frank last appeared on American Pickers in March 2020 before undergoing back surgery.

He was officially let go from the show in 2021 and then suffered a stroke.

Despite the health issue, a friend close to Frank previously told The U.S. Sun they have hope he could return one day in the future.
