20 Movie ‘Plot Holes’ That People Are Tired of Explaining

They say everyone’s a critic these days, but that’s not true. Film critics are well-educated, formally or otherwise, in the art of filmmaking, which qualifies them to expertly analyze a movie’s virtues and faults. In other words, they know what they’re talking about. (Occasionally, they are Jon Lovitz, a trait almost no one can claim.) But most people don’t want to put the time, effort or reading into learning how to analyze a film. They just prop their mouths open and hope whatever comes flying out will sound smart and earn them internet points.

A favorite pastime of the film-ignorant is pointing out or repeating plot holes to prove they’ve outfoxed them thar moving pictures, but often, they’d find that these “plot holes” are explained right there on the screen if they’d stop twirling their Red Vine lassos long enough to pay attention. So when user Animeking1108 asked r/AskReddit, “What infamous movie plot hole has an explanation that you’re tired of explaining?,” Reddit had plenty to complain about.
