12 Amazing Bodies From Lost — Celebwell

Lost is coming to Netflix in 2024, giving a whole new generation a chance to ponder the mysteries of the Smoke Monster, the Others, Walt (Walt!) and the Man in Black. Besides the stellar direction (J.J. Abrams helmed the pilot), and the show’s unwinding whaaaaa-level conundrums, the ABC series was a hit because of its compelling and attractive cast. How do they stay so fit? Read on to discover how Josh Holloway and more keep it together.

Daniel Dae Kim played Jin-Soo Kwon on the show. He revealed in an interview with Uproxx that he takes vitamins. “I have a weekly vitamin container. I will do a multivitamin, antioxidants. I am also a big fan of vitamin D3. Because everything is natural, the pills are absolutely massive. My wife likes to call them my horse pills. I find that if I do those kinds of things at the same point of the day, no matter where I am and no matter what timezone I am in, it gets my body a better chance to get acclimated.

Ian Somerhalder played Boone Carlyle in season one. He opened up about his diet in an interview with GQ. “My diet is vegetables, soups, broths and dense, dense fats and proteins. Everything is about carbohydrates in the morning. Sure, that’s fine after you’ve trained, but I don’t understand where we decided to wake up and douse our systems with sugary carbohydrates. Our stomach’s balance is so important.”

Cynthia Watros played Libby Smith in season two. She tells Soap Opera Digest that yoga is a go-to workout for her. “There is no good or bad yoga, no right or wrong,” Watros explained. “Any amount of a yoga pose is still the pose. You can do it a little bit, the medium amount or all the way and you’re still doing yoga. Just do whatever your body can do at that time. You don’t have to be able to stand on your head!”

Kiele Sanchez played Nikki Fernandez in season three. In an essay for The Hollywood Reporter, she opened up about suffering a late-term miscarriage, and how returning to acting helped her out. “I have so much pride that we didn’t shy away. That we created something that speaks to suffering that for some reason lives in shadows. I am grateful that I was put in a position that I did not have the option to hide. I’m glad that we leaned in. Went into the humanity of heartbreak.”

Harold Perrineau played Michael Dawson on seasons one, two, and four. He revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair that he dealt with being sidelined on the show, and recalled a time where he didn’t want to do a storyline that played into stereotypes involving black fathers. “I can’t be another person who doesn’t care about missing Black boys, even in the context of fiction, right? This is just furthering the narrative that nobody cares about Black boys, even Black fathers.”

Josh Holloway played Sawyer Ford for the entire series. One thing he does to stay in shape is play basketball. “There is nothing more challenging than a full-on basketball game with the starts and stops, the jumping, sprinting, side shuffles,” he says to Men’s Journal. “Now I can move faster, be more agile. I don’t twist my knee, my ankle doesn’t go out.”

Her trainer, Matthew Reyes, shared Grace’s go-to pose with SELF.Dolphin Pose takes care of her shoulders, triceps and abs,” says Reyes. “They all get defined and when Maggie holds the pose, gets her sweating and burning calories.”

Julie Bowen played the recurring role of Sarah Shepherd. She opened up about her diet in an interview with New Idea. “I eat a lot of big salads and throw in chicken, shrimp or quinoa. I can eat that day after day. I need to eat ice cream every couple of weeks. If I don’t have it, I feel like I am missing out. Luckily, with kids, there is always ice cream!”

Katey Sagal had a recurring role as Helen Norwood in season two. In an interview, she opened up about her wellness and beauty routine. “I take really good care of myself,” she told ABC News. “I don’t smoke and I don’t drink. I sleep a lot, I just think it’s an inside job too. I think it’s attitude, a lot of it’s attitude. I try to have a good one.”

Evangeline Lilly played lead character Kate Austen on the show. Lilly isn’t a fan of dieting, and talked about why in an interview with Women’s Health. “Diets are a fool’s errand. I eat something sweet every day, whether it’s chocolate or a cookie. If I don’t, I guarantee you that there’s going to be a day every week when I’m going to stuff myself, especially if it’s PMS time.”

Dominic Monaghan played Charlie Pace on the first four seasons. He also hosts the TV show, Wild Things and talked about why he wanted to do this to Men’s Journal. “I was in Hawaii [shooting Lost] when Steve Irwin died,” Monaghan says. “I was pretty devastated. But I used that as inspiration to make my own nature show. I’m very respectful of the animals I encounter.”

Elizabeth Mitchell played Juliet Burke and joined the show in season three. She shared some of her health and wellness secrets with Cool America Magazine. “I work out for at least an hour every day. Some weights. Some stationary biking. And some dancing. I usually have at least seven lotions and potions on my face. I’m also VERY dedicated to sunscreen. When I was 10, my beloved Grandma Bette showed me the difference between her skin that saw the sun and her skin that did not. I have been a sunscreen advocate ever since. There’s probably a bottle or tube of the stuff in every room of my house.
