Carl Cox is ushering in a new era of the legendary nightlife brand Space in Riccione, Italy.
Space Riccione is scheduled to open with Cox behind the decks on June 2nd, 2024, according to a press release. It’s a full-circle moment for the techno icon, who held a 15-year residency at the brand’s fabled Ibiza club before famously tying a bow on its final season with a historic, nine-hour closing set back in 2016.
According to Space, the “multifunctional, club-come-festival venue” comprises three large areas: Arena, Garden and Terrace. Space Riccione organizers said prospective attendees can expect “the biggest names” to perform on the the venue’s stages every Saturday and more DJs will be announced in the weeks ahead.
“The new era of Space will be a beautiful and unique experience,” said Fabrizio De Meis, COO of Space Riccione. “We’re excited to reveal our vision of a state of the art, club-meets-festival venue.”
