FLAVOR of Love’s Brooke ‘Pumkin’ Thompson has resurfaced nearly 20 years after her legendary fight with Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard in photos exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun.
Brooke, who was called Pumkin by Flavor Flav as she competed for his love on the show in 2006, has not been seen publicly in the years since she made reality TV history.
Pumkin made her mark in the pop culture zeitgeist when she got into a famous spat with Tiffany – who went on, to this day, to be one of the most notorious reality stars of all time.
Tiffany, who was nicknamed New York by the rapper, got into a heated argument with her nemesis during an elimination ceremony – which resulted in Pumkin spitting on her face.
The spit heard around the world turned New York, not the city, into a household name and has given her a decades-long reality TV career.
Meanwhile, Pumkin has remained out of the public eye as she hasn’t appeared on any other TV shows since 2010 and doesn’t use social media.

Her nearly 20-year-long absence has made reality TV fans desperate to know what she’s been up to – or what she even looks like in the present day.
For the first time in years, Pumkin has been spotted in photos obtained by The U.S. Sun.
The former reality star, who now works at an accounting firm, still lives in her hometown of Bakersfield, California.
She was spotted in the first week of May 2025 running errands around the farming town about two hours north of Los Angeles.
In the photos, Brooke can be seen bare faced with no makeup and similar blonde hair she had on the VH1 series.
The ex TV star was seen exiting her $400k four bedroom, two bathroom home in Bakersfield.
She wore a baggy army green T-shirt and showed off her legs in black Under Armour gym shorts and flip-flop sandals.
Later in the afternoon, she was seen grocery shopping with black sunglasses and a large leather tote bag.
It marks the first time she has been seen in years following her explosive appearance on season one of VH1’s Flavor of Love in 2006.
PUMKIN SPICE FLAVOR
Pumkin and New York competed alongside a dozen other women for a chance to get draped with Flavor Flav’s famous clock necklace – which symbolized them moving onto the next round in hopes of becoming his girlfriend.
Tension between the pair built all season but reached an ultimate head just before the finale when it came down to Flav’s final three of New York, Pumkin and Nicole Alexander, who was called Hoopz.
Pumkin’s failure to inform Flav about her past appearance on another reality show, Blind Date, ultimately led to her elimination at the end of the episode.
During the elimination ceremony, she attempted to also take New York down with her and trash her image in front of Flav as she claimed her rival was an “actress” who wasn’t there for the right reasons.
The comments led to an explosive exchange between the two women – where Pumkin yelled at New York: “Actually I can slap the s**t out of you, ‘cuz you need to shut the f**k up!!”
New York yelled back in response: “Do it, slap me bitch!” – which resulted in Pumkin then getting in her rival’s face.
She then spit directly in New York’s face, resulting in the saliva landing on her chin, and told her she needed to lose weight – which caused her to push Pumkin into the cameras.
“You motherf**king whore! Come back here I just want to say something,” Tiffany said as she tried to lunge at Pumkin but was held back by producers.
Pumkin was eliminated that night and New York was sent home the following week – although she has maintained a decades-long reality TV career and still appears on shows to this day.
When promoting her show House of Villains in 2023, Tiffany was asked if she would ever consider being friends with Pumkin now that so much time has passed.
“Hell no. But when I see that hoe I am going to rip her hair plugs out because she is balding and she’s never got that face lift that I suggested,” she hastily responded.
Back in 2016, VH1 briefly caught up with Pumkin via email and asked her why she chose to step away from the limelight.
“It wasn’t really my choice. I would still be on reality TV if [someone was] still doing those types of shows.
“Not to say that I would never do reality television again because I would totally do it again,” she said, revealing that the demise of her TV career was not what she wanted.
In the same interview, she acknowledged the famous spit moment and admitted: “It was completely emotional. I was pissed.
“It’s the lowest thing you can do to someone, pretty much. I didn’t think about it. It wasn’t premeditated. It just happened.
“I wasn’t like, ‘Okay, I’m in elimination. Okay, I’m gonna do this so this we make a name for ourselves and the show’s number one.’ I was really so pissed off.
“It just came out and then afterwards I was like, Oh my God. I didn’t know it was gonna be like, the headlines on newspapers.
“They called it the spit heard around the world. I never ever anticipated that it would be as big as it actually was. I mean it’s still one of the greatest reality TV moments and that’s just so crazy to me.”
