Gypsy Rose Blanchard Breaks Silence On Clearing Social Media

Infamous abuse victim and killer Gypsy Rose Blanchard set for early release from Missouri prison.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has finally answered one of fans’ burning questions— why she deleted her Instagram account.

According to the child abuse survivor, she came to the decision after having an in-depth conversation with her father, Rob Blanchard.

Blanchard’s candid confession comes after she was released ahead of schedule from her ten-year prison term for the murder of her mother, Clauddine ‘Dee Dee’ Blanchard.

Taking to TikTok to post a series of extensive videos, Blanchard discussed her decision to delete her Instagram account, which had amassed nearly eight million followers. Kicking off the conversation, she said:

“I do my best to live my authentic life, and what’s real to me and what’s not real is social media. Social media is literally a doorway to h—. It’s so crazy. I can’t even wrap my head around what social media is.”

That reality seemed very different from the one where she expected to “enjoy social media like the next person, taking selfies and just acting goofy,” following her early release.

Highlighting the moment that led to her permanently taking down her Instagram page, Blanchard explained:

“What happened is I had a really good conversation with my dad, actually. He gave me some guidance that I feel like I really need. And that guidance was to show me that real life is something you can touch, something you can feel. People you can actually hug.”

Since she has no intention of living her life “under a microscope,” due to the current intense pressure from onlookers, Blanchard created another Instagram page, made it private and “got it verified.” Thanks to those actions, she “had no trouble or doubts of deleting that public one.”

The Louisiana native acknowledged that even though her deletion of a social media account with such a significant following would make people wonder, she could not “give a f— about a following.”

While Blanchard may have had enough of letting people into her life via social media, her husband, Ryan Anderson, has no such problem.

As The Blast recently detailed, Anderson used an Instagram post to fuel rumors that they are expecting their first child together.

In the photo uploaded on February 27, the doting husband placed one hand across his previously incarcerated wife’s stomach, which was visible thanks to them slightly pulling her top up.

Anderson further heightened fans’ suspicion with his caption, which read, “Me and my little family cuddling together.” Predictably, questions and theories about Blanchard expecting a child began flooding in via the comment section.

“OMG WAIT THERE IS NO F——G WAY SHE IS PREGNANT,” one person declared, as another exclaimed, “Oh my god. You are pregnant. You got down straight to business for real,” and a third queried, “SHE’S PREGNANT????”

Meanwhile, this fan stated, “A married couple and a pet can be a family. You don’t have to have a child to be a family. They never stated she is and it’s rude to assume so.”

Amid fans’ curiosity about a new patter of feet in the Blanchard-Anderson home, it is worth noting that Blanchard herself previously asserted her position on becoming a mother.

She disclosed that she and Anderson were not yet ready to welcome any kids during a formal introduction of her pet dog to her fans. The activist shared at the time:

“Right now, I just wanted to get something that we both can kind of have, to take care of and just have as an addition to the family. We’re not ready to have a baby yet, so this was like the next best thing.”

Additionally, Blanchard told her fans to expect “many, many more puppy videos and pictures” in the near future and asked for “tips on potty training.”

Anderson’s Wedding Proposal Required Some Deception

In case you missed it, The Blast reported that Anderson and Blanchard’s romance took a turn for the better when the former inmate confessed she had fallen head over heels for Anderson over the phone.

Despite the Louisiana teacher’s promptness for a prison proposal, he was faced with the challenge of getting the ring through security at the Chillicothe Correctional Center, Missouri.

Ultimately, Anderson decided to sneak the engagement ring by hooking it on a necklace, which he used in popping the big question to Blanchard on his third prison visit.

The pair eventually got married on prison grounds in July 2022 without any guests at the ceremony.
