Rhodes has a daughter, and she wants to set a good example for her. She says to SELF that she wants her daughter to be inspired by her mother’s wrestling career. “I’m more interested in showing her anything is possible,” she says. “In seeing that her mom went out there having been off for a year, she trained really hard and is out there killing it in the ring. I want her to feel that way and look at life that way when she’s faced with a challenge.”

In her SELF interview, Rhodes opened up about how black women are treated by the healthcare system. She wants to encourage others to do their research. “I wasn’t really aware of the challenges that Black women face when it comes to childbirth until I became pregnant,” she says. “It’s so important to have a doctor that you trust who fully understands the challenges. If your doctor doesn’t seem to think that’s a challenge—being pregnant and Black—find another doctor. It will feel so much better.”

After having her daughter, Rhodes suffered from postpartum anxiety. She opened up about her struggles to SELF. “I fully went through a period of postpartum anxiety or maybe a combination of anxiety and depression,” she says. “I lean more towards anxiety because I was so happy, but I was terrified at the same time. It was something I’d never felt before. It was a fear of every unknown possible.” Rhodes says that she sought help from others to get her through this. “Just being honest about it with myself and other people is what really helped.”

Rhodes talked about her fitness routine to Muscle and Fitness. She says that she’s always changing her fitness routine. “One of the things that I am very open to is evolving my fitness routines,” says Rhodes. “I know that sometimes we get really comfortable with certain routines and we kinda just get stuck in them, and we don’t know how to move forward.”

One thing Rhodes does to stay in shape is weight train. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing some training at the gym. In it, she is seen doing bicep curls with hand weights. Rhodes captioned the post, “My trainer @bradkolowichjr hadn’t seen me for a week so he blessed me with spider curls and a little Dolly 😂🏋🏾‍♀️ Back to the grind!!!”
