HIGH fashion, fun and good vibes are in Suki Waterhouse’s DNA.
And as the supermodel-turned- singer invited me along to join 100 of her most devoted fans to listen to her new album, Memoir Of A Sparklemuffin, she was on top form.
At the Levi’s HQ in central London, Suki bared her soul on the 18-track record, which took us on a journey from heartbreak to finding her soulmate in her long-time partner, A-list actor Robert Pattinson.
The album, much of which was record- ed while she was pregnant with their first child, a daughter born in March, is a mix of sweet love songs with a smattering of f*** you tracks, with Suki bringing in a cool, grunge sound into tunes including Gateway Drug, which I am sure will become a fan favourite when the record drops next month.
Raucous reception
As she continued the playback, getting a raucous reception for the tracks Model, Actress, Whatever and Legendary Love, Suki said she had taken inspiration from a number of artists, including Sheryl Crow and American Frozen Oranges author Violet Paley, as well as her turn on Amazon Prime series Daisy Jones And The Six last year, for the record.
Suki has an exciting few weeks ahead and will open for Taylor Swift at Wembley Stadium tomorrow night before Memoir Of A Sparklemuffin comes out on September 13.
While Suki is now dreaming up her next record, she reveals Rosalia is on her wish-list of collaborators.
Self-deprecatingly she admits: “She’s got the voice of an angel. So maybe I could talk and she could do the singing.”
Now that’s a song I can’t wait to hear.
Giddy lovers
ANDREW Garfield and Florence Pugh play lovers in upcoming rom-com We Live In Time.
But it looks like there will be someone third-wheeling on the couple’s romance – this comedy carousel horse.
This new image from the flick, due out early next year, has gone viral on social media as people crack up at the creature’s expression.
One joker posted on X: “I want a film solely starring the carousel horse next.”
Feel the gee farce, guys.
Yappy days, Kim
KIM KARDASHIAN certainly likes a clutch accessory or two, with her bag in one hand and her dog Sushi in the other.
Skilfully, both were even colour-coordinated with Kim’s outfit as she stepped out in New York.
She has also told of being single, three and a half years after her separation from Kanye West.
During an appearance on American TV, the mum of four said: “It’s so funny because my kids try to set me up. They’re ready now and I’m not. They’re so particular, they make lists.
“Saint wants me to be with any basketball player or soccer player. And I’m like, ‘If you only knew . . . No’.
“They try to sneakily set me up and I’m like, ‘Guys, this just isn’t what I want right now’.”
I’d be put off dating, well and truly, if I’d spent years stuck with a madman like Kanye.
Miquita ad-mitts fetish
MIQUITA OLIVER has interviewed many famous people – but also done rather more than that with a few.
The presenter admits she used to obsess over sucking the, er, fingers of celebrity crushes.
She said on her Miss Me? podcast: “It would be boys I fancied, boys I was kissing. I would then suck their fingers. I don’t do it any more. It was in my mid-twenties.
“I sucked [actor] Dominic Cooper’s fingers. I have witnesses. And she said of another victim: “I went on a date – actually it wasn’t, it was like a group hang – and I ended up kissing him and then sucked his fingers – [THE 1975 frontman] Matty Healy.”
“That’s the only creepy, weird thing I’ve done.”
Given Matt always looks like he needs a wash, I wouldn’t want him near me, let alone his fingers in my mouth.
All the world’s a stage
KEITH ALLEN is to star in a new version of George Orwell’s 1984.
The play will open at Theatre Royal Bath on September 20 then tour the country until November, with stops including Malvern, Poole, Guildford, Cambridge, Brighton, Richmond and Liverpool.
His daughter, smile singer Lily, has had roles on the West End in 2:22 A Ghost Story and The Pillowman.
Script fly high
THE SCRIPT lead the new releases with their seventh studio album, Satellites, out today.
It is their first since the death of their guitarist Mark Sheehan last year and features the songs Both Ways and At Your Feet.
There are also loads of new singles worth checking out, including a refreshed version of Jax Jones, Joel Corry and Jason Derulo’s single Tonight (D.I.Y.A) featuring Pitbull.
Jodie Harsh is back with her tune Hit Me Up, while Duke Dumont is keeping the party going with Ain’t Giving Up.
And for some drum and bass, give Brodie’s new tune Double Vision with Skepsis a listen.
Before Ed’s dead
SOFIA VERGARA has joked that Modern Family should get its own movie before her on-screen husband, Jay Pritchett, played by Ed O’Neill, dies.
The show ended in 2020 and she said: “I’d die to be on that set. It’d be so much fun. A TV movie, maybe?
“I joke with Ed, ‘Don’t die, because if we do the sequel it will take some time and you’re the oldest of us. You can’t be dead’.”
It’s Maya party…
MANY happy returns to Maya Jama, who turned 30 on Wednesday and celebrated the milestone in suitably lavish fashion.
I can reveal the Love Island host threw an extravagant dinner for almost 60 pals at upmarket restaurant Belvedere in Holland Park, West London.
Maya, who split from Stormzy last month, hired a huge private dining room at the former 19th century ballroom for the evening.
But her rapper ex wasn’t among the guests, despite their claim that they would remain close friends, as he flew to Munich to watch Adele in concert.
Maya had curated a special menu for the night, including sea bass, beef fillet, chicken and charred aubergine, accompanied by a selection of fine wines.
Given that main meals at the upmarket eaterie usually cost between £24 and £87, she clearly spent a fortune on it.
A source said: “Maya loves a good party but wanted something more sophisticated for her birthday. It’s not been an easy few months for her but it was a really special evening being surrounded by her nearest and dearest. It wasn’t super starry.”
I’m told she is planning to continue the celebrations throughout the month, thanks to a gap in her schedule.
So I’m sure we will see the return of party animal Maya soon as she toasts her new decade.
