Meanwhile, Mulaney has been busy with a family medical crisis. In March, his partner Olivia Munn revealed that she’d been diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in April 2023. She’s since had four major surgeries done in the cancer battle, including a double mastectomy that triggered her body into menopause.

Mulaney and Munn share a two-year-old son, Malcolm Hiệp. They began their relationship in February 2021, about a year before his divorce from artist Anna Marie Tendler was finalized.

Writing about Mulaney’s support during her cancer battle on Instagram, Munn said he’s been there for her through it all. She said, “I’m so thankful to John for the nights he spent researching what every operation and medication meant and what side effects and recovery I could expect.”

Munn wrapped up the appreciation message for Mulaney by thanking him for being present. The actress added, “For being there before I went into each surgery and being there when I woke up, always placing framed photos of our little boy Malcolm so it would be the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes.”
