Downtown

As part of “a major expansion of its operations in Spanish speaking Latin America,” Downtown Music Services has brought on Daniela Gutiérrez as marketing manager for Mexico and promoted Bogota-based Deezer veteran Estefanía Parra to manager of A&R and partnerships for LatAm.

Additionally, Martin Liviciche and Juan Nuñez have transferred to DMS from Downtown’s CD Baby. Based out of Buenos Aires, Liviciche is now in charge of business development for DMS and FUGA in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, whereas Nuñez is marketing manager for LatAm.

ONErpm

ONErpm has announced the debut of five additional offices in Africa – in Accra, Ghana; Abidjan, Ivory Coast; Nairobi, Kenya; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; and Johannesburg, South Africa – following its arrival in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2020.

And to staff these new African offices, ONErpm has upped two-year team member Osagie Osarenz to director of African operations and made multiple executive appointments.

Specifically, Almah Salum is ONErpm’s country lead in Dar es Salaam, while George Avakian has accepted the same role in Johannesburg and Bilha Ngaruiya is filling the position in Nairobi.

Lastly, ONErpm has named Mutuma Vincent marketing lead in Nairobi, appointed former Crux Global operations manager Florence Delali Kpeglo country lead in Accra, and tapped Afi Cakpo to serve as lead for Francophone Africa in Abidjan.

Xavier University of Louisiana

Dr. Anderson Sunda-Meya, who in July of 2021 became interim dean of Xavier University’s College of Arts and Sciences, has officially been appointed dean on a full-time basis.

Bethel Music

Bethel Music co-founder Jenn Johnson has become president and interim CEO of the label, which has likewise revealed a series of promotions.

In its Redding office, Bethel has elevated 11-year company veteran Katie Langenberg to CFO, four-year employee Blake Citro to head of events, two-year team member Vanessa Nulick to head of operations, seven-year staffer Balt Pazos to head of business strategy, and Eric Allen (who’s also been with Bethel for seven years) to director of creative publishing.

And in the Nashville office, Erica Boutwell (three years with Bethel Music) is officially head of communications, and Adrian Thompson (nine months with Bethel) is now head of A&R. Finally, one Matt Lopez, who’s worked out of the Redding office for four years, will relocate to Nashville this summer.

Crowdguard

Crowdguard, which bills itself as “the specialist in event safety management and perimeter protection,” has announced Iain Moran (formerly with ATG Access) as an equity partner and its MD.

Wasserman Music

Wasserman Music has promoted five bookers – Laura Brown, Cecilia Chan, Suzie Melki, Lucy Putman, and Holly Rowland – to agents at its London office.
