Ryan Gosling
Many wouldn’t know, but the makers of Fifty Shades Of Grey wrote the script with Barbie star Ryan Gosling in their mind. His persona and character are what inspired Christian Grey. However, the creators were left heartbroken when they approached the actor, and he rejected the role. While the exact reason is unknown, it is said that our Ken wanted to focus on different projects at that time.
Robert Pattinson
Nobody would believe it when they hear that Robert Pattinson refused the role of Mr Grey because of commitment issues. In an interview with Mirror, he revealed, “You have to work out too much. It is going to be exhausting. I have tried. I don’t understand how people do it at all. I will go to the gym sometimes. I will have one week on and three months off.”
Charlie Hunnam
Rebel Moon star Charlie Hunman was the closest to playing the leading role in Fifty Shades Of Grey. He prepped for the role but had to back out at the last minute because he was cast in another show. Ultimately, he chose Son Of Anarchy, and the conflicting schedule did not allow him to play Christian Grey.
We would be excited to see any of the above actors, but honestly, could anyone have played Christian Grey better than Jamie Dornan? We don’t think so.
