I love showing off my midsized curves in skimpy lingerie but trolls say I should cover up – they won’t stop me though

Sammi first gained fame as a 'Get Ready with Me' influencer, before she started posing in her underwear

A MIDSIZED influencer has defended her decision to pose in skimpy lingerie online, insisting cruel trolls won’t stop her.

Sammi started making a name for herself online with ‘Get Ready with Me’ videos.

But she then started sharing more videos in her underwear, which has drastically improved her mental health.

Despite that, Sammi – also known as Midsize Sammi – still has people trolling her on her underwear pictures, but told lingerie company Pour Moi she won’t let the negativity bring her down.

“Whilst most of the messages I get are positive and encouraging, there are some negative comments on my videos, even from other women saying they don’t think I should be in my underwear,” she said.

“It’s hurtful at times and I have found these kinds of comments hard to ignore in the past but as time has gone on I’ve learnt to deal with them.

“I now understand these comments are just someone else’s opinion, and I just remind myself why I started my account.

“I want to inspire other women.”

Sammi also knows how to pick herself up after reading negative comments – she just goes and looks at the positive feedback she’s received.

“It gives me the biggest confidence boost and makes me realise that everything I’m doing is for a reason,” she added.

That reason is to inspire other woman with similar body shapes to her own, namely postpartum curves.

“Having a ‘mummy tummy’ had a big impact on my confidence, and I just didn’t see other women online showing the same kind of postpartum body as me,” she said.

“So I thought if I started to show mine, then other women could look at me and feel valued and seen.

“The main benefit is feeling like I have a purpose, I know that I’m helping other women to accept the bodies they have and know that they aren’t the only ones with lumps and bumps and more.”

One of the best messages Sammi has ever received from a follower who had been planning to have surgery on her stomach – and would put herself in debt by doing so.

“She couldn’t afford it but was not able to accept her body as it was,” Sammi said.

“She messaged me to say since finding my account she cancelled her appointment and has changed her mind on surgery.

“This was the most amazing message to read and honestly, I think about it all the time.

“To have that impact on somebody is just unbelievable.

“I think about that whenever I feel doubtful or need to remind myself of why I started this account.”
