Yes, you read that right – and the side hustle has become so successful, Chas is now cashing in an astronomical £172k a year, all thanks to her cat and tortoise.

According to the travelling enthusiast, believed to be from the USA, she had created a social media page for every single one of her pets – and in just one year, these grew over a whopping 1million followers.

Looking to make some extra money in 2024? Here are Chas’ top five tips to get you started…

Quality

According to the pet fanatic, one of the most ”impactful” elements here is upping the quality game – this is key on social media platforms, such as Instagram.

She instructed in her informative clip: ”We’re going to change your phone settings to 4K 60fps.

”You’re always going to wipe your lens before filming and you’re going to try to film in front of a window or natural lighting when you can.”

Chas explained that there’s no need to fork out for ”the most expensive gear or the newest phone to do this” – it’s all about knowing these ”little” yet effective tricks.

Find a purpose of the content

It’s not just the quality that matters – according to Chas, figuring out the purpose of the videos is just as essential.

This can range from inspiring, entertaining or even educating.

”You’re not just going to see me slap on audio a random video. If you scroll through my page, every single video that I post has some sort of purpose to it.”

Research & brainstorm

”Now, I’m not saying to just go and straight up copy someone cause that’s really lame.

”But you can use it to help brainstorm some ideas.”

Sharing her advice, Chas added that she likes to keep notes in her phone, where she pens down anything she’s come up with.

”Writing these ideas down will get easier over time.”

Post three times a week

According to Chas, posting every day – and even multiple times a day – can be ”very intimidating”.

And although you may think this will help the audience grow, it’s the very opposite, she added, advising to stick to just three set days per week.

Pitch to brands

”You’re not going to wait for brands to approach you,” said Chas, instead advising to pitch and negotiate the ideas yourself.

”All of this money came from brand sponsorships – and pitching is easier than ever with CHATGPT.”

As well as sharing adorable pet content on her page, Chas is known to her fans for the breathtaking travel shots in the most picturesque settings around the world.

The young woman also regularly shares money-related content online, helping others kickstart their journey.
