I get paid to party and men throw money at me because I’m pretty, but it’s not as easy as it looks

Erica is hired for her beautiful looks

BEING paid to party sounds like a dream job, but it’s a reality for one woman who says she makes a living from going out because wealthy men LOVE having such a beautiful guest at their events.

Erica North, 24, was an unemployed student when she got scouted as an ‘atmosphere model’ which means it’s her job to make groups of people look more attractive at parties.

As she doesn’t live in the bigger cities such as New York or Los Angeles, Erica is what is known as a “fly-in” model.

This means that she is flown in from her home in Oregon to attend corporate events, private parties or venues where she makes sure the guests are happy and a good atmosphere is created,

Erica expenses such as flights, hotel, drinks, food and transportation are all covered by the client who books her.

“Atmosphere modelling is really a fun way to do the things I already want to do just on someone else’s dime,” Erica tells the Daily Star.

This is a part-time role that the model has had for the past three years.

The model tells how men shower her in money, as she recalls one occasion where she was hired to work at a high-end strip club in Vegas called Spearmint Rhino.

“At that club, we had a table and the drinks had arrived but I was dancing on my friends and the client and the hosts were throwing money on me,”  she said.

Erica told how the managers in the strip club told them to stop because the clients were not interested in paying the club dancers.

It was then that Erica suggested to the clients that she buy outfits and create a strip club in the hotel suite. He agreed and took her and her friend shopping for clothes that dancers would wear.

“He told all the girls to pick out anything we wanted, I think the bill was more than $5,000 (£3,717) for all the stuff we got,” said Erica.

“We went back to the room (to party)…then we went gambling at like 4 am and the client won big and gave the three of us that went $1,000 (£743) each that was kind of when I realised that this is something I could get used to” she added.

One misconception that bothers Erica, is the assumption that she sleeps with her clients, as she said that this is not anything she has ever done or even been asked to do.

“I’ve never been pressured, and I have never done anything physical with a client, and I’ve been doing this for three years! There are always hosts around to ensure everyone’s safety and to handle any issues that arise” she said.

Erica also says that this is not a “seedy” job, and in fact sees the role as a form of networking as she gets great business advice from clients.
