There is a new family dog in the Bryant household, and he is too cute for words, as seen in Vanessa’s recent social media update.

On the evening of Wednesday, March 9, the American philanthropist broke the news on her Instagram page with a touching photo of the newcomer.

Present in the image are Vanessa’s stunning daughters, Natalia, 19, Bianka, 5, and Capri, 2, (she is also a parent to a late daughter, Gianna), whom she shared with her deceased basketball legend husband Kobe Bryant

The first photo showed that the new dog is a black German Shepherd who looked too cute for words while smiling in front of the camera with the girls.

The star of the show also happens to be named after a famous Marvel character. In her captions, Vanessa gushed about the joy he has brought her family, writing:

“My girls are happy. [red heart emoji] Big Boy~ Loki [brown dog emoji] #GermanShepard.”

In another heartwarming Instagram post filled with smiles, the matriarch’s eldest daughter Natalia held Loki close to her chest while her younger siblings struck poses beside him.

In February, the household lost their beloved dog Crucio. Vanessa announced his passing on her Instagram page with a touching slideshow of photos featuring the deceased canine.

The 39-year-old noted that though her black Labrador Retriever had passed on, she and her family remain grateful for all their shared memories and will always care about him. She wrote in her caption:

“We love you, Crucio. Thank you for everything, sweet boy. Thank you for watching over us. We’re going to miss you #GoodBoy #RestEasy.”

Kobe Bryant’s Wife Tributes His Iconic 81-Point Lakers Game

On the second anniversary of Kobe and Gianna’s passing on January 26, 2020, Vanessa honored the impactful life of her late husband.

The Blast disclosed that the matriarch showed that she would remain her deceased partner’s biggest cheerleader when she recalled his unforgettable 81-point Lakers game.

Vanessa uploaded a throwback Instagram image from the memorable Los Angeles Lakers’ match that ended with a whopping 122 points, 66% of which Kobe scored for the team.

The picture is dated back to January 22, 2006, when Kobe raked in an impressive 81 points against the Toronto Raptors at the renowned Staples Centre.

Kobe’s score remains the second-highest ever by any basketball player in a single game. Wilt Chamberlain tops the record for raking in 100 points in 1962.

In August 2021, Vanessa marked her husband’s posthumous 43rd birthday with a proclamation of her endless affection and well-wishes for him.

In the Instagram post, the late LA Lakers spouse included a picture of them passionately locking lips following one of his NBA Games.

The golden Larry O’Brien Championship trophy gleamed in the foreground of the image, which Vanessa captioned, “Happy birthday, Papi. Te Amo por Siempre. Amor Eterno,” which translates to “I love you forever. Eternal love.”

The matriarch’s love also extends to her fight for justice, as she settled with Island Express, the company that owned and operated the helicopter that killed Kobe and Gianna.

Legal documents showed that the widow and others who lost their loved ones to the tragic crash entered a confidential settlement with the company.

Vanessa’s lawsuit alleged that Island Express and their pilot, Ara Zobayan, were responsible for flying on a foggy morning to get Gianna and seven others to a youth basketball tournament in L.A.

The final investigation reports posited that Zobayan was tempted to carry on with the flight owing to the celebrity status of the passengers. He ended up crashing the chopper into a Calabasas hillside.

In June 2021, the surviving family members of the victims filed a “joint notice of settlement and joint request to vacate discovery deadlines” with Island Express.

Vanessa is also pressing charges against the Los Angeles County Sheriff deputies for sharing photos from the crash site without permission.
