Phil Lesh & Friends Close Out Capitol Theatre Residency with Phil-O-Ween (A Gallery)

Last night, Phil Lesh & Friends played the final show of their October residency at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y. The Halloween night performance, lovingly referred to as Phil-O-Ween, saw the Grateful Dead bassist and his ensemble dressed as zombies and throughout the evening, they showcased their musical stylings in honor and celebration of the great American songbook.

Lesh was joined by Duane Betts, Eric Krasno, Grahame Lesh, Nicki Bluhm, Jason Crosby, and Tony Leone for this year’s Phil-O-Ween, and musical highlights included a cover of The Allman Brothers Band’s “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” with a reprise of the Grateful Dead’s “Slipnot!”, “Unbroken Chain,” “I Know Your Rider,” and a night-ending rendition of Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves of London.”
