San Diego’s own Rommii, a burgeoning talent riding high on a breakout year, is gearing up to ignite Santa Barbara’s electronic music scene in early 2024 with a brand new event series. Scheduled to kick off at EOS Lounge on February 1st, the series promises to be a high-energy showcase featuring Rommii’s signature boiler room-style sets.
The Mexican-American producer has been turning heads in 2023 with his unique blend of house music, infused with elements of psychedelia and pure nostalgia. His breakout release “What We Had Was Real” has captivated audiences, amassing nearly five million streams on Spotify alone, a testament to his growing in short order.
With his newfound platform at EOS Lounge, the monthly showcase, “Rommii And The Homies,” maintains the promise of becoming a haven for emerging talents. Joining him on day one are Babsy as well as two winners of a forthcoming DJ contest, promising a lineup that echoes Rommii’s commitment to fostering new talent.
Producers interested in joining Rommii’s contest should submit a 15- to 30-minute DJ mix as well as an original song or original remix they’ve created.
