Ghost are celebrating another triumphant year with a new career-spanning streaming compilation titled 13 Commandments. Among the tracks is the song “Zenith,” which previously only received a physical release.
A press release describes the set as, “A treasure trove for the most fervent devotees and new initiates alike, Ghost’s 13 Commandments compilation chronicles the band’s metamorphosis from Scandinavian curiosity to world-straddling creative colossus — all that and fans are rewarded with the wider release of Ghost’s cult tune ‘Zenith.”‘
The band’s eventful 2023 included the release of the covers EP Phantomime, as well as a new version of “Spillways” featuring Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott and a cover of Shakespears Sister’s “Stay” featuring Patrick Wilson for the movie Insidious: The Red Door.
Ghost also embarked on a five-month, four-continent world tour, including a summer US run with Amon Amarth, and recently received a Grammy nomination for their cover of Iron Maiden’s “Phantom of the Opera.
The haunting track “Zenith” previously appeared only on a special physical edition of their Meliora album called Meliora Redux, as well as a Meliora box set.
