Dua Lipa returned to Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday (January 9th) to get hammered once again and cement her friendship with Meyers by getting matching tattoos.
After getting plastered together during Meyers’ “Day Drinking” segment in December, the duo reconvened to gulp down shots of tequila from the slide of a massive Barbie Dreamhouse. Then, they sat down with a tattoo artist named Bang Bang to get inked together.
Although Meyers initially suggested getting “a solitary dot” for his first tattoo, Lipa insisted they get “a little star” instead. Clearly nervous about the prospect, the late night host took a few shots before getting tattooed on his right calf.
Elsewhere in the episode, Lipa sat down with Meyers for a more traditional interview, in which they spoke about the infamous “Day Drinking” segment when the singer got too drunk to finish. After recalling how they did 12 shots in “like 45 minutes,” Lipa revealed that she fell asleep in the bar bathroom. Watch both segments below.
Lipa’s latest movie, Argylle, is set to open in theaters on February 2nd. Meanwhile, her Barbie soundtrack contribution, “Dance the Night Away,” is up for Song of the Year at the 2024 Grammys.
Last November, Lipa released her most recent single, “Houdini.” Produced by Danny L Harle and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, it arrives ahead of one of the most anticipated albums of 2024. The psychedelia-inspired project is set to feature more contributions from Parker.
