Adele said she “shat” herself when Lady Gaga came to her “Weekends with Adele” Las Vegas residency.
Many celebrities have flocked to the 35-year-old’s show, which started last November and is currently on break until January, including Shania Twain, Kim Kardashian, and Jennifer Lopez, but Adele told The Hollywood Reporter that she was uneasy about receiving Gaga’s “Applause.”
“There’s been one there that I shat myself the whole show,” the “Rumor Has It” singer said about Gaga.
“And I’ve spent a bit of time with her, but I rate her so hard. I was like, ‘The show’s terrible. It’s rubbish. I’m singing terribly. I’m not funny. My dress is rubbish this week.’ I was judging myself. And she’s not like that. But she made me really, really nervous.”
She continued, “I don’t get told who’s coming. I only knew Gaga was coming. She came in disguise. Well, not in disguise, she just wasn’t dressed up. It’s like me, I’ve put sweatpants on [today]. But yeah, as long as people come and they enjoy it, that’s all that matters, really.”
Of course, Gaga is no stranger to Vegas, either. She finished her “Jazz & Piano” show at Sin City’s Park MGM in October and previously performed her pop residency “Enigma” there, too.
In November 2022, the 16-time Grammy winner reacted to learning Twain was in the audience for one of her performances early on in the residency’s run.
“Thank god you had a hat on @shaniatwain I would have self combusted had I seen it was you!! I adore you, I can’t believe you came to my show,” Adele wrote in an Instagram Story at the time.
Adele said of Twain in THR, “I walked straight past her and didn’t recognize her until afterwards someone sent me a video. Then I saw her at the Grammys and we were talking about it.”
The residency picks back up in the new year on Jan. 19 and runs through June 15 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
“The only person I want to see it that hasn’t yet is my mum,” Adele told the outlet on Thursday. “I’m going to wait — I want her to see it at the end. Because I think she’ll find it really emotional as well.”
Another family member fans are interested in seeing more of his Rich Paul — Adele’s boyfriend who she is believed to have married.
The couple was spotted sitting courtside at an NBA game last month where Adele donned a ring on that finger.
