The Ghostbusters franchise is once again back with the sequel of the reboot that came out in 2021. The original film came out in the 80s and was not only commercially successful but critically praised. The latest film in the franchise, Frozen Empire, has yet to have a worldwide release; it premiered in New York City’s AMC theatres a few days back and came out across the USA on Friday.

The latest release stars Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace, and others from 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The 2024 film reunites the old and the new cast. It is the reboot of the OG film and fell flat compared to it. It is about paranormal researchers Abby Yates and physicist Erin Gilbert trying to prove that ghosts exist in modern society. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates turn to engineer Jillian Holtzmann for help. Patty Tolan, a lifelong New Yorker who knows the city inside and out, is also joining the team. The four women prepare for an epic battle with countless ghosts.
