Jack White Attends Baseball Game at Every Major League Stadium

As any Jack White fan in Philadelphia knows, it takes a lot to get the man to the city — the last time he played a concert here was in 2006, when The Raconteurs opened for Bob Dylan. It’s been even longer since he headlined a show — in 2002, to be exact. (He’s never publicly addressed his apparent aversion to Philly, but rumor has it the reluctance stems from a negative experience with The White Stripes in the early 2000s.)

But if there’s one thing that can bring White back to Philadelphia, it’s his lifelong love of baseball and his “longtime mission” to visit every Major League stadium. Naturally, he saved Citizens Bank Park for last — which he finally checked off his list this past weekend while watching the Phillies take on his beloved Detroit Tigers. Lucky for White, the Tigers won. Sadly for us Philadelphians, White left town without playing a show.
