Alex Cooper is on the pilates reformer in her workout gear. In a new social media post the Call Me Daddy podcaster shows off her flat abs in a sports bra and leggings while doing a pilates workout. “I’m not ok,” she captioned the Instagram Stories image. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
“I’ll be honest, it changes every single day, every week,” Cooper recently told People. “I think everyone can understand that sometimes you’re like, ‘I am on my fitness grind. I am ready to eat that salad. I’m ready to hydrate. My skincare is going to be popping’ — and then life happens. Then it torpedoes into you feeling unwell, and then you have to go back to the grind of trying to get well again,” she continues. “We’re all exhausted from work, we have social lives, we want to be a good friend and a good partner, and it’s just this endless cycle. So I would say sometimes I’m working out and I’m hydrating extra, and sometimes I’m like, ‘Alex, put it in your calendar. We’re starting on Sunday.'”
“The first thing I do when I wake up is roll over, pick up my phone and text my boyfriend ‘coffee,'” Alexandra dished Harper’s Bazaar Food Diaries about the importance of her morning cup. “My boyfriend hands me a coffee every single morning.” Sometimes she has iced coffee and others, hot, with oat milk. “Recently switched from almond to oat and it’s been a pretty fabulous transition,” she adds. “I grew up never drinking coffee. I went through my entire college experience and I had never had one cup of coffee. I started drinking coffee, honestly, because I think I started going to meetings in my adult life and I was like, they’re like, ‘Do you want a coffee?'” However, she claims she is “not dependent on it,” and is “never going out of my way to get it, but when it’s brought to me, I welcome it and I cherish the moment and I drink the whole thing every single morning.”
Alex starts her day with a major dose of carbs. “I have an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese,” Alex added, revealing her eats one side with “regular cream cheese, one side with chive.” Switching from New York to Los Angeles bagels, “was a struggle” as “New York’s bagels are better than LA’s” so she has “mourned the loss,” she jokes. “But I’ve gotten used to a bagel as a bagel. I’ll eat the ones from the grocery store.”
Alex is a big advocate of snacking. “I’m a very hangry individual and I’m not embarrassed or ashamed by that,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “The success of my relationship, I will say, is predicated on whether I’ve eaten that day or not. My boyfriend will say, you are a different person when you haven’t had food. So I am constantly making sure I have a snack around me.” She loves snacking on Welch fruit snacks. “You can’t just have one, you have to have three. So I usually will have a handful of those. Maybe some chips, love some Sour Cream and Onion Pringles.”
Alex is such a big advocate of hydration, she recently launched her Unwell Hydration beverage exclusively at Target stores nationwide. “I was exhausted and I felt so hungover, even though I wasn’t even drinking,” she told People. “I was like, ‘Why am I so tired? I have bags under my eyes,’ and every time I would grab something that was hydrating, it either tasted really s—–, or there was just so much sugar in it.”
In her recent post, Alex does pilates. “Trying to be in my Pilates girl make my ass burn era,” she added in the caption of another post. According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body’s inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
