Hamlin likes to swim to stay in shape. She shared these photos of herself about to snorkel on Instagram. The Mayo Clinic states that spending time in the water has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is easy on the joints, and it’s very good for both cardiac health and your core strength,” says Mayo Clinic orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine expert, Dr. Matthew Crowe. “And it also can give you really excellent strength around the shoulders, and hips and knees.”
Hamlin learned a lot from her parents. One of those things was the importance of hard work. “My mom has given me the best advice ever,” Hamlin told V Magazine. “My mom and my dad’s work ethic was really ingrained into me. She would never let me give up. There were times—and there probably will still be times—where I feel like I should. But she helps me keep going.”
Hamlin talked about her career and her aspirations in an interview with Vogue. She says that she wants to be a role model for others. “At the end of the day, I want to be known as an artist that inspires people. I want to represent unapologetic and unique beauty from the inside. I want to embrace my flaws and insecurities to inspire others to love themselves for who they are. Everyone deserves to feel beauty and confidence. I hope I can play a role in that.”
Kindness is very important to Hamlin. She explained why in her Vogue interview. “My parents taught me how important kindness is,” Hamlin said. “I truly live by the idea that the most beautiful woman can walk in the room and quickly become the ugliest simply by how she treats others.”
