If you’ve been watching the 2024 Olympics this summer, then you’ve likely seen Snoop Dogg at some point, as the beloved rapper has been all over NBC’s coverage of the 33rd Olympiad.
NBC is certainly getting its money’s worth, as Snoop Dogg has produced plenty of viral moments, from narrating a badminton match to dancing with the gymnastics team to showing up at equestrian events with Martha Stewart.
Snoop’s unique brand of laidback fun isn’t coming cheap, however, as the 52-year-old is rumored to be making half a million dollars PER DAY.
“Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner, he said Snoop gets paid $500k a day plus expenses to be here promoting Olympics. From Gin and Juice to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics – what a world.”

The tweet about Snoop’s Olympics salary came from a venture capitalist Great Oaks Venture Capital, who claimed to be at dinner with an NBC executive who told him that Snoop is being paid $500K per day, plus expenses, for his role as a “torchbearer and special correspondent.”
Prior to the 2024 Olympics, Snoop had an estimated net worth in the neighborhood of $160 million.
“My preparation for primetime is being me. Google me. Look me up, dog. I’ve done fighting a bit. I’ve done sporting events. This is what I do. I’ve been doing this since y’all have been goldfish,” Snoop said of his role at the Olympics.
As of Monday, August 5 — the 10th day of Olympics action — the United States leads the total medal count with 72, which is 22 more than second-place China.
Stalwart American Olympians such as Simone Biles and Katie Ledecky have also taken home Gold Medals. In golf, Scottie Scheffler helped lead the Red, White, and Blue to gold, as well. Both the Men’s and Women’s basketball teams are also strong favorites to win the top prize.
