1000-LB. SISTERS star Tammy Slaton has revealed she’s not allowed to change or dye her hair while filming the reality television series.
Tammy answered a question from a fan on her TikTok account and surprised audiences with the shocking fact.

One fan commented: “You should cut your hair, it would look gorgeous.”
Tammy responded on video to the fan and posted: “A lot of people don’t know this, but when you’re doing a reality show, you can’t cut your hair or color it.”
She explained: “You’re not supposed to do any outside changes of your body.”
“Like, I can’t get a tattoo or a nose piercing – I wasn’t even supposed to get my ears pierced,” the 1000-Lb. Sisters star confessed.

Tammy continued: “For example, Amy’s hair? Right now she has teal hair but she did have indigo and the only way she can change her hair color again is if it’s between seasons or on camera.”
She said: “Because they might need us to go back and get what they call a pick up scene and if I change my hair it’s not going to match.”
“So I’d have to do the whole scene again and we ain’t about that,” Tammy concluded.
FUN IN THE SUN
Most recently on 1000-Lb. Sisters, Tammy visited the beach for the first time since her major weight loss transformation.

Her family decided to take a vacation together now each of the siblings had received bariatric surgery.
In a confessional, Tammy admitted she was proud of herself for losing so much weight and being able to travel, but she “still can’t walk very far.”
Since she doesn’t have full mobility yet, she got a special wheelchair with large bubble wheels to move across the sand with ease.
“I ain’t tryin’ to fall on my butt,” she said.
Unfortunately, because of the large wheels, it was difficult for the TLC star to get in the wheelchair, and she almost fell forward while trying to sit down.
She was also unable to get her leg over a tall metal component of the chair, leaving her sitting sideways.
Tammy continued, “Getting in that wheelchair is difficult. I feel like it’s going to tip over on me.
“I’m scared of it. If I fall, it could get really bad because I’m not able to get back up.”
Eventually, her older sister Misty helped lift Tammy’s leg so she was able to sit properly in the wheelchair.
“This is scary,” Tammy said after finally being seated.
Her brother, Chris, was “proud” of her for not giving up even though she struggled to get in the chair.

Fans of the Slaton sisters on social media loved to see Tammy thriving on the episode of the reality show.
“Tammy is sweet and deserves goodness in her life,” one person said.
“Keep going, Tammy,” said another, “You’re gonna see and do more the more you lose!”
“I’m so happy they could go to the beach, I grew up next to the ocean, nothing compares,” commented a third.
A viewer wrote, “Tammy looks great and feels great! I am so happy for her!!”
“Tammy better be proud of herself cause I know I’m very proud of her,” another reacted.
“You go Tammy don’t let nothing or no one stop you from doing everything you always wanted.”
HOT STUFF
In last week’s episode, Tammy admitted to getting hot and bothered when her husband, Caleb Willingham, threw out junk food.
Caleb died last summer at the age of 40 due to health complications, but he has still been featured this season of the show.
During the episode, Tammy visited her husband in the Ohio weight-loss facility they used to share.
She had to leave him behind once she was released after her successful weight loss surgery.
When she returned to Caleb’s room, she spotted a small basket overflowing with sugary snacks that he shouldn’t have been eating.
After talking to him about it, Tammy made him throw out each snack individually, even dumping the boxes of candy into the bottom of a trash bin.
In a confessional, Tammy blushed and said: “Seeing Caleb pour out his favorite candies is kinda hot. Kinda like… Okay!”
Then, Caleb took it a step further by saying he “felt like a stripper” while his wife poured out a box of candy.
