ARIANA Madix and Katie Maloney’s sandwich shop has a new look after the sign and front patio were taken down, new photos obtained by The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.
Something About Her‘s opening date has been put on pause, as The U.S. Sun reported, due to ongoing health department issues and Ariana’s commitment to performing on Broadway in New York City for the next few months.

Now, another major problem has come to the forefront – a makeover of the entire front patio of Ariana and Katie‘s West Hollywood cafe.
Back in June, The U.S. Sun obtained photos of what the exterior of Something About Her looked like at the time.
There was a “Something About Her” sign, a yellow and white awning, and a square-shaped patio for outdoor dining that was situated in the front of the store.
The U.S. Sun has learned why the patio and sign had to be taken down after appearing to be ready to open.
“The front patio at that location was there for years (when it was Hedley’s Restaurant), and it was there without proper city permits,” a source told The U.S. Sun.
“After the remodeling, Katie and Ariana learned that permit laws had changed and they had to take down their sign and break down the entire front patio.”

Now, what’s seen in new photos obtained by The U.S. Sun is an empty sidewalk in front of Something About Her with the sign and awning no longer there.
As of December, the Vanderpump Rules stars had to file a new permit with the City of West Hollywood, proposing a different outdoor dining area and a new canopy that’s permissible within limits, as indicated by signage on the front door.

“The drawings that were submitted for the new outdoor dining space don’t look the same as it was before,” the source revealed.
“They’re not giving up hope since the outdoor dining area would be beneficial to the business and will allow for more seating space.”
WHAT’S TAKING TIME?
Aside from the exterior, there are still other issues that have to be resolved before opening.
For one, the flooring needs a whole new makeover.
A source told The U.S. Sun, “The health department said that the floor is not for open food use, so the entire flooring has to be pulled out.
“Well if you pull out that flooring, you have to pull out all the furnishings, you have to pull out the refrigeration too because that wasn’t put in correctly.
“So now, all of a sudden, after spending $300,000 on a build-out, they have to redo everything, is what apparently is going on.”
The source continued: “It’s a “cluster f**k. It’s a lot of back and forth with city officials,” while adding, “taking over this location has been bad luck from the beginning.
“It’s like it’s been jinxed because it’s always something new.”
The U.S. Sun can confirm the liquor license is also still pending.
READY FOR GUESTS
Even though the interior of Something About Her is now concealed from the public, The U.S. Sun previously revealed the inside of the eatery.
As seen in exclusive photos obtained by The U.S. Sun, there are four to five rectangular tables on the left side and right side of the packed 745-square-foot property.
The seating closest to the wall is an L-shaped grey couch and the other seating is matching grey plush chairs made out of wood.
There are over 20 comfy teal and gray colored pillows that are lined side-by-side on the couches.
To match the theme of the furniture, there are French-inspired paintings and artwork on the walls as well as classic candle chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
To the side of the couches, there is a small retail space filled with a bunch of olive jars and tea jars, which presumably will be available for purchase upon opening.
The back of the shop is where customers will place their orders and check out the fresh sandwiches and other baked goods that are behind the glass display case.

ANTICIPATING OPENING
The process of getting Something About Her to open all began as far back as July 2021 when an LLC was filed.
Bravo fans have been eager to visit the shop, especially after getting a sneak peek of it on last season of Vanderpump Rules.
Co-stars Lala Kent, Tom Schwartz, and Scheana Shay have all gotten a bite at the tasting menu while filming season 10.
Ariana, who will star as Roxie Hart in Chicago later this month, last told BravoTV.com that the sandwich shop is “still in red tape limbo” and they are waiting on the next round of inspections.
She said in the December 6 interview, “We have an incredible menu.
“Amazing staff. Very excited people ready to go. So we’re just kind of waiting on that thumbs up, that stamp of approval.”
Prior to this, while at BravoCon in November, the Single AF Cocktails author and Katie confirmed that there “a lot of hoops” that were causing delays, such as having to get a new water heater.
That hasn’t stopped the business owners from profiting off of their new business.
In recent months, the reality stars have debuted new Something About Her merchandise, including crewneck sweatshirts, T-shirts, a baseball hat, and floral-patterned socks.
