The document, which was picked up by eagle-eyed TikTok user @thriftarchivesofmemories, was issued by ‘N.H.Anderson’ at ‘Oil Umpire’ in Los Angeles.

The vintage pay cheque is dated from August 15, 1931 to September 15, 1931.

Viewers flocked to debate how much that figure would translate to in today’s money.

“That’s like someones paycheck, [in] todays money it’s like $3100 -$3600,” one user wrote.

A second agreed: “That’s about $3600 today.”

A third user quipped: “I would be so annoyed if this hit my account 92 years later.”

STEP ON IT

Fellow Goodwill shopper Dalton is a full-time reseller who focuses mainly on shoes.

He found a pair of Jordan 11 sneakers with snakeskin details in the bright pink “colorway.”

The sneakers were a women’s size 9.5, which added to the value.

People say I have ‘amazing luck’ when they see my Goodwill find – and they ‘gasped’ when they heard I only paid $5.72

A brand new pair in that size is selling for $393 on the popular site Goat, which sells both new and used shoes.

“Obviously, these aren’t brand new, but for $25, they’re in good enough condition that I think I can get around $90 to $100 for them,” Dalton said.

He ended up selling them for $138 plus shipping on his eBay store.

Another thrifter found a rare pair of Nikes at Goodwill for only $3.

Influencer Forward Flips (@forwardflips) shared a TikTok of the find they made at an outlet store where the merchandise is sold in bins.

After digging for a bit, they pulled out a “pretty rare pair” of Air Force 1s in the Orange Summit White shade.

“There’s actually none selling in used condition on eBay,” they said.

“I think I should be able to get around $100 plus shipping.”

film director’s shoes ended up in a donation bin and sold for $50,000.

A $25 purse with an Elvis design turned out to be worth $450,000.
