AMERICAN Pickers’ Mike Wolfe has returned home to spend time with his rarely-seen daughter in a self-reflecting post.
The 59-year-old television antiques dealer recently faced criticism after his brother was called to be fired due to his behavior on the show.
Mike uploaded an Instagram post on Thursday from his home town of Leclaire Iowa.
The photo showed three women walking along a street at dusk with their back’s to the camera.
All three women wore causal clothes, including an older lady wearing a long puffer jacket to keep warm.
Mike captioned the post: “These simple moments mean so much to me. My daughter my niece and my mom. Just walking and talking I love to watch them interact with each other.
“Being back in Leclaire Iowa is how I recalibrate. This little town along the banks of the mighty Mississippi River will always have my heart.”
He continued: “My first @antiquearchaeology store is here along with dozens of other beautiful independent retailers.
“This main street is part of the @greatriverroad there’s so much history. Come explore and see what @visitleclaire Iowa has to offer.”
Mike did not tag the women in the picture, but fans were glad to see his rarely-seen daughter, Charlie, as they seemed to spend the holidays together.
FAN LOVE
Someone commented: “Soak in that winter river breeze.”
Another wrote: “Its a wonderful thing for you to spend this time with them!”
A third said: “So amazing!! Nothing like family time and especially making memories.”
“Beautiful of you to share,” left another.
Mike seemed to be showing solidarity with his family after his brother Robbie Wolfe faced harsh criticism online.
FIRED?
American Pickers returned last Wednesday for a new season.
During its premiere night, Robbie and Mike found vintage Pepsi-Cola signs in various conditions which caught their attention.
While speaking with owner Michelle, Robbie started out with a low number to commence a deal.
Mike mocked Robbie’s deal-making skills: “No, that’s not how you deal, little brother.”
Mike then managed to settle on a higher price of $1,600.
In the social media comments section, viewers were not fond of the appearance of Mike’s older brother on their screens.
One critic said: “Please take Robbie off the show.”
Another critic added: “Let Mike do the talking. Stop it, Robbie,” and added laughing emojis.
A third critic mentioned: “Where’s Frank? We need him back. We don’t need Robbie.”
