FERGIE was truly glowing in a rare selfie ahead of her 50th birthday as she revealed the secret to ‘true happiness.’
It has been eight years after she left Hollywood following her hilarious performance of the National Anthem at the NBA All-Star game.
Fergie took to social media to pay a special tribute to to her mom, Theresa Ann Ferguson, 74.
Ahead of celebrating her own huge milestone of turning 50-years-old today, the Glamorous singer posted a selfie of the pair on her Instagram grid page.
She was dressed in a colourful purple and daffodil patterned top as she wished her ageless parent well on her birthday.
The London Bridge hitmaker had her hair styled in her signature blonde curls as she beamed from ear to ear.
She also sported what looked like a natural fresh-faced makeup look in the snap.
Fergie captioned the post: “To my beautiful, vibrant, smart, funny, generous, loving, wonderful mom.
“I love you forever. Happy birthday, mom.”
The singer first rose to fame in 2002 when she was part of the Black Eyed Peas alongside Will.i.am, Apl.de.ap and Taboo.
Together, the quartet have released multiple studio albums and have sold an estimated 80million records worldwide.
Over their tenure, they have won six Gammys, eight American Music Awards, and two Billboard Music Awards.
Fergie left the group in Febtruary 2018, and on the same day went onto perform The Star-Spangled Banner at the infamous NBA All-Star game.
Her rendition of the US National Anthem drew giggles from the likes of Chance the Rapper and some of the players who were ready to take to the court.
Despite seemingly pleased with the track at the time, she later acknowledged the controversy around her ‘butchered’ performance.
According to People, she admitted in a statement: “I’ve always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA.
I’m a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone.

Since then, the star has mostly fled the spotlight after she left Hollywood.
Although she surprised fans with her incredible opening performance at the 2022 MTV VMAs (Video Music Awards).
The number was praised by fans and critics after she took to the stage to sing ‘First Class’ with Jack Harlow, her first televised performance in four years.
