Welcome back, Calvin Harris! Finally, our favourite Scottish producer is making a massive comeback with a brand new, much-awaited album.
GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-platinum selling artist and phenomenal music producer Calvin Harris has confirmed the release date and featured artists for his forthcoming new album, ‘Funk Wav Bounces Volume 2’. Now y’all don’t need to wait much longer as the new album will be out next month on August 5 via Columbia Records.
This much-awaited part 2, titled “Funk Wav Bounces Vol 2,” is the follow-up to “Funk Wav Bounces Vol 1,” released in 2017. That album marked a shift in his sound from the big room EDM to a more R&B-oriented style. Calvin has been teasing about the release on his social media for weeks, so the announcement washed his fans with a wave of relief.
The Scottish producer made the announcement via his social media, which featured a photo of a billboard near the 10 freeway near Indio, California, with the new album title. “Summer ’22 it’s happening,” Harris wrote in his Instagram caption, teasing his fans and admirers. This billboard is one of many that major artists are using to advertise to fans coming to and from Coachella.

Commemorating the five-year anniversary of ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1,’ Calvin Harris unveiled an array of 23 dynamic collaborators featured on the forthcoming album. ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2’ includes some of the phenomenal and most exciting artists of the modern industry.
These include artists with the likes of 21 Savage, Dua Lipa, Young Thug, Stefflon Don, Chlöe, Charlie Puth, Pusha T, Shenseea, Tinashe, Normani, Lil Durk, Halsey, Offset, 6lack, Justin Timberlake, Coi Leray, Busta Rhymes, Donae’O, Latto, Pharrell, Swae Lee, Jorja Smith, and Snoop Dogg.
Along with the album release date, Harris has dropped the second song from the forthcoming album, “New Money” featuring 21 Savage.

Prior to that, he unveiled the smashing and vibrant summer anthem “Potion” with Dua Lipa and Young Thug, which introduced us to the soundscapes of the album. If this is the energy that the entire record exudes, we are in for a massive party.
