She is one of the world’s most lusted after women, but Shakira doesn’t think she will ever find love again after splitting from former Barcelona footballer Gerard Pique

SHE is one of the world’s most lusted after women, but Shakira doesn’t think she will ever find love again after splitting from former Barcelona footballer Gerard Pique amid claims he cheated.

Soon after the couple announced their 2002 break-up following 11 years together, Bizarre revealed that Gerard was dating a model two decades younger than the singer.

Shakira, who has two sons with Gerard, said: “I thought love would be there for ever for me, and that’s one of my broken dreams.

“I don’t know if I’d like to find that again. Probably not.”

But insisting she’s not upset at the thought of growing old alone, she added: “I’ve always been in a couple, but then when that wasn’t there, and when I had to face the darkest moments of my life, friends were there and kept me together.

“I might not grow old with a partner, but I will grow old surrounded by good friends.”

Upbeat on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music 1 show, she added: “It’s kind of good not to have a husband because it was dragging me down.

“Now I feel like working, writing songs, making music.”

I’ve had my fair share of vile men, but right now I couldn’t be happier.

So take it from me, Shakira, you never know what is around the corner.

Busy boy Ed Sheeran took a rare night off to go out for dinner with wife Cherry Seaborn.

They were snapped leaving Michelin-starred restaurant Core in London’s Notting Hill, where they had met up with Ed’s composer brother Matthew.

Ed has barely had a day to himself over the last few years, as he has been busy releasing a string of albums and gigging around the world.

And by the time his mammoth Mathematics Tour ends in September, he will have played to almost 5.5 million people.

Thankfully he can now enjoy a bit of a breather, because after completing shows in Asia last week, he won’t restart his show schedule until June, when he will play in Malta.

But I wouldn’t be surprised if he has yet another new album out before the year is through.

Good on X Factor winner Matt Terry, who came out on new tune, His Car.

The singer, who won the 2016 series of the ITV show, said he felt he had to stay in the closet for years and had a secret boyfriend.

But he now wants the world to know who he really is, so he has opened up in the song about a covert romance.

Matt explained: “I came on to the music scene, where my sexuality was the forefront of every conversation. I walked away to discover myself naturally and privately.

“How was I supposed to tell anybody who I was if I didn’t know myself? Today I know exactly who I am.”

He added: “This song is an apology to the first man I ever loved. I asked him to keep our relationship under wraps for many years.”

As Diana Ross prepares to turn 80 on Tuesday, another Di had a very special message for her.

As part of Radio 2’s Diana Ross: The Fans Story, which is available today on BBC Sounds, Diane Carson from The Traitors sent the Supremes singer a special message. Diane said: “Diana, you’re the reason that my son and I, his name being Ross – Diane and Ross – were called The Supremes. That was our code.

“Diana, keep going, you’re fabulous, you’re such an inspiration to everybody. And have an absolutely amazing birthday.”

I’m sure Diana will be thrilled, Diane.

My bid to get into shape by hitting the gym and eating well pales in comparison to the lengths Spencer Matthews has gone to.

The former Made In Chelsea star has revealed he ate one meal a day for three months.

He tried intermittent fasting while taking part in the new BBC Two series Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales, which starts on Friday.

Spencer said: “I slept better. My energy was through the roof. I lost weight. I was able to improve athletically.

“It’s been a pretty core pillar of quite a few religions for thousands of years. It’s not a trend.

“It’s completely changed the way I see and view food.”

My tummy would definitely be rumbling.

Wham! albums Make It Big and Fantastic have been reissued on vinyl for the first time in over 30 years.

Andrew Ridgeley, who was in the band with singer George Michael, said: “It’s a testament to the enduring nature of Wham!’s music that our legions of loyal fans and the younger cohorts of music fans desire to own the music in their original formats.”
