Kevin Durant next to IshowSpeed

YouTube megastar IShowSpeed is launching his very first premium series on the platform. ‘Speed Goes Pro’ pits the social media celeb against sporting icons like Tom Brady and Kevin Durant as they compete in athletic trials.

Although he’s one of the biggest streamers on the internet today, boasting almost 40 million subscribers on YouTube alone, Speed is known for far more than just sitting in front of a camera.

From travelling the world and creating viral moments with celebrities, he’s always mixing it up. Though what he might be best known for is actually his athleticism. Constantly showing off his literal speed, he’s always looking for a new challenge against Olympians, NFL pros, and plenty more in between.

Now, capitalizing on the popular trend, Speed’s first-ever premium series on YouTube will focus on just that. Speed Goes Pro is set to feature a number of the world’s most legendary athletes as they compete with Speed in all manner of athletic challenges.

As first reported by Complex, Speed is teaming up with OBB Media to launch the first paid content on his YouTube channel. The production company is known for its work across shows like Kevin Hart’s Cold As Balls, along with projects featuring Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and more.

The concept of the new series is simple. The streamer is placed “in head-to-head competition with some of the biggest names in sports.”

Although most of the featured guests are being kept a secret for the time being, we do know both Tom Brady and Kevin Durant are set to appear at the very least. Expect to see athletes from a wide range of other sports as well.

Exactly how they’ll be competing is also unclear, but we’re sure to see all manner of hilarious antics given this is Speed after all.

IShowSpeed injured after WWE Royal Rumble

Here’s hoping Speed’s challenges against Tom Brady don’t end like his WWE run.

While travelling the globe, we’ve already seen the streamer’s next-level athleticism on display plenty of times. He’s beaten AFL players in footraces and even appeared in WWE’s Royal Rumble event, though that one didn’t quite go to plan.

There’s currently no release date set for Speed Goes Pro, but we’ll be sure to update you here as further details emerge.
