Brasilian rockers CSS have announced their first US tour in 11 years to celebrate the band’s 20th anniversary.
Appropriately dubbed the “It’s Been a Number of Years Tour,” the short trek will commence in Washington, DC on May 3rd and conclude at Pasadena’s Just Like Heaven Festival on May 18th. Along the way, they’ll hit cities like Boston, New York, Chicago, and San Francisco. See the full routing below.
Tickets for CSS’ 2024 tour will first become available via a Live Nation pre-sale (use access code SPOTLIGHT), opening on Wednesday, January 24th at 10:00 a.m. local time. Tickets will then go on sale via Ticketmaster on Thursday, January 25th at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Once tickets are on sale, you can also find them at StubHub, where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
“Even though we weren’t active for 20 years straight, it’s bananas to come back in 2024 to celebrate these two decades,” lead singer Lovefoxxx said in a statement. “I DJ often, and I am approached by fans who tell me how much ‘we’ve helped them figure out themselves,’ ‘showed a way out’ out of societal norms, and even ‘inspired them to be who they are’ — which melts my heart because most of these fans are delicate queer creative people.”
Lovefoxxx continued, “It’s so nice to know we touched some people and are still harvesting this love 20 years later. So since the cycle of life can’t be stopped and trends come back after 20 years: demand came and we are honored to do a celebration tour. Sing the hits and non hits. Jump around, make jokes, reconnect with this energy that only CSS delivers to us and give it a go, for the naive times, for the raw and crazy, to fall in love again in the clubs, once more!”
The announcement arrives after CSS’ inclusions in the lineups for both Just Like Heaven and Salt Lake City’s Kilby Block Party. CSS’ last album was 2013’s Planta, which also served as the quartet’s first LP without founding member Adriano Cintra.
