Nina Dobrev shared her workout secrets in an interview with Shape. “I actually did not do a lot of [strength training] in the past – I only did yoga and ran in terms of training,” she said. “Strength training with weights and such a regimented schedule has been new to my life, and now that I understand the way it all works, the science behind it, it’s changed everything for me. I eat so much more than I used to, and I feel so much leaner and stronger than I ever imagined I’d be.”

Julianne Hough is Dobrev’s best friend. She shared her skincare and wellness secrets in an interview with Bustle. “On the physical side, skin is my go-to for everything. Whether that’s hydrating with water, what I’m putting in my body, what I’m putting on my body — it’s all the same for me. I am a big believer in [the idea] that you need to sweat to release those toxins. Whether that’s pilates or dance or yoga or cycling — I love variety, so it not only helps with my physical self, but it also helps clear my mind.”

Jessica Szohr is one of Dobrev’s close friends, as both were CW stars at the same time. Szohr shared her skincare secrets with Yahoo. “Right now I’m using Obagi face wash, toner and lotion. It’s a gel face wash, a really light toner and a really light lotion. Sunscreen is a really big thing. My mom was always like, ‘Sunscreen!’ but as I got older, I realized you need to put in on –  especially living in L.A., the sun’s always out.”

Emma Watson worked with Dobrev in The Perks of Being A Wallflower. Watson talked about wanting to use sustainable products with Into The Gloss. “Recently, I’ve become super interested in sustainability and transparency and understanding what I’m putting on my face and on my body. It’s been a fun little mission to see how far I can go with it… Can I create a completely sustainable wardrobe? Can I dress sustainably on the red carpet? Can I put together a hair and makeup look with completely organic products? I needed to figure out if it was achievable or not. You can’t talk the talk if you don’t walk the walk. So that’s what I’ve been discovering over the past couple of years.”

Selena Gomez is close friends with Dobrev, and has invited her to her birthday parties. She opened up about her skincare secrets with ELLE. “I just can’t understand when—and no offense—people have to wear makeup all the time, and they’ll say, ‘Oh, you can sleep with a tinted moisturizer or a self tanner on your face and you can wake up.’ For me, I just think that’s not my vibe, plus I do breakout. For me, I can’t really sleep with things on my body or tinted things just because I get worried. It’s not my vibe.”

Dobrev is close friends with actress Lily Collins. In an interview with Shape, the Emily In Paris star opened up about her diet. “I’m a clean eater. I love chicken, fish, and vegetables and grains like quinoa, but I don’t eat red meat. I steer clear of processed foods. I’m very farm-to-table; growing up in the English countryside, it was a way of life, not a trend.”

Ruby Rose is another of Dobrev’s best friends. She shared her diet secrets with Life & Style. “When I’m exhausted and have a full day and just want a hamburger, I’ll just make an Impossible burger or Beyond Meat. I don’t love meat, but it’s the idea of a hamburger. It’s a form of junk food I want and need, but it’s still good for me. Fries and a burger.”
