KISS' Gene Simmons Delivers the Weather on LA News Station

KISS legend Gene Simmons stopped by local Los Angeles TV station Fox 11 on Thursday (March 13th) to deliver the weather alongside meteorologist Adam Krueger.

The singer-bassist arrived in a denim shirt, leather pants, sunglasses, and a baseball cap, as Krueger welcome him to the weather segment. The rock icon immediately told the weatherman he looks better in person than he does on TV.

Krueger slipped in a few KISS references throughout the forecast, with quips like, “There’s been a lot of rain lately, and the rain you drive us wild, we’ll drive you crazy talking about this rain,” borrowing a line from “Rock and Roll All Nite.” To which Simmons added, “Hey, I wrote that. I like that.”

Simmons went on to talk about the rain chances for the upcoming week in and around the LA region, with Krueger chiming in, “This weekend, I’m thinking, it’s looking pretty good. If people want to rock and roll all night …” and Simmons finishing, “… they should probably party every day.”

When Krueger told the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer it was time to wrap, Simmons jokingly began to rap: “You go to 7/11, go to heaven,” eliciting laughter from the studio.

Perhaps Simmons will bring that sense of humor to his encounters with fans who shell out $12,500 to be his personal assistant and roadie for a day during his upcoming tour with his solo band. The outing kicks off April 3rd in Anaheim, California, with tickets available here.
